Service Design Network (SDN) recruited the service of Planta 18 for the Service Design Global Conference 2017. This year’s edition was held in Madrid between 1 and 3 November and comprised presentations, working meetings and networking activities. It was a huge success with guests from countries including Japan, Argentina, Germany and the United Kingdom in attendance.
The first day’s session was held at Matadero from 08:00 to 20:00. We took care of the assembly, decoration and management of the check-in area, staffing, teams, event bags and catering. There were over 350 attendees. Prizes were awarded to projects presented by SDN members from various areas of the business.
The second and third days were held at La Nave, an incredible space specially designed for events and conferences. There were over 700 guests in attendance on 2 November. The space itself included a check-in area, cloakroom, plenary hall, five workshop rooms, VIP lounge, rest area and press zone. We once again took charge of all aspects of the event which included a welcome coffee, conferences and activities in the workshop rooms. The latter was highly popular with some participants even being put on a waiting list.
After lunch, during which Spanish cuisine featured heavily, the plenary hall was opened to guests once again, with working meetings held in VIP lounges, informal lectures and presentations retransmitted to guests through TV screens. The day was rounded off with a cocktail for all attendees.
The third and final day was dominated by presentations and workshops. The event came to a close at 18:00 with a group photo taken to remember the occasion. As regards personnel, 12 All Staff employees took charge of the event check-in, cloakroom and guest services, etc.
